A beautiful residential home for our elderly

‘Hollywell Care’ has been established for over 25 years. It was purposely built and designed for the care of our elderly. We are committed in providing the best care to all our residents without any prejudice, Our professionally trained staff will look after your family members ‘like their own family’.

We welcome and encourage friends and relatives of our residents to visit us at any reasonable time. We do not limit visiting to specific times of the day, we will be here for you ‘anytime’.

Living In Style

A well presented and clean environment. Our residents will feel completely at home and moving around is so easy. We have a lovely communal area where our residents can go to and mingle with the other residents or visiting family and friends.

Our Services

We have an excellent kitchen at the home with a dining area. You may choose between taking your meals in the dining room or in your bedroom. A choice of menu is always offered.

Breakfast is served from 8am  and is brought to the Residents room on a tray so that they may enjoy this at leisure. The main meal of the day is Lunch served at 12.30pm and Tea which is served at 5.30pm, Supper is served at 8.30pm

Our visiting Hairdresser is available on a Monday and Wednesday by arrangement weekly, but you are very welcome to invite a hairdresser of your own.


We have a Domiciliary Chiropodist who visits the home on a regular basis, but you are very welcome to invite a Chiropodist of your own.

Dentist (Dentures only) / Optician

Our Dentist is able to do Domiciliary visits. We can arrange transport and escort if you wish to continue with your own Dentist.

We have an activities programme within the Home. The weekly activities ,includes game sessions such as Bingo / Scrabble / Quiz’s / Board games / Painting. If you have a particular interest then every effort will be made to accommodate it.


Hollywell Court is a residential care home for the elderly located on the outskirts of Leicester City on the main London Road. The home is registered under the Health & Social Care Act 2008 with Care Quality Commission (CQC) certificate number 1-……………..

It was founded in 1984. In 2000 Hollywell Court gained new Owners. The Directors are the controllers of the business.

Carole Garrity is the Registered  Manager of Hollywell  Court and has been with Hollywell Court since 1997.

Hollywell Court has 11 Bedrooms most of which are single, therefore each resident has private accommodation that they can call their own, which they can use when and how they wish, and to which they can invite guests. Most of the bedrooms have en-suite toilet facilities. The size of each room varies, and can be confirmed according to availability.

The home is equipped to meet all of the requirements of a modern residential home and offers the highest standard of personal care.

The first floor has 9 Bedrooms 8 are single rooms and 1 double bedroom can be accessed by either the stairs or by a passenger lift. The ground floor has 2 single bedrooms.

Hollywell Court has 2 comfortable sitting rooms, 1 dining room, W.C.’s are conveniently located though-out the building. The home has 2 “stand aids”, a sling hoist to aid residents with mobility difficulties.

Q. How do I know if I will like living at Hollywell Court.

We can offer you a trial visit or stay when you will have the opportunity to sample all that is on offer.

Q. How will I know that all my needs can be met?

The Registered Manager will endeavor to meet with you in your present environment to discuss your needs or ideally, an assessment of your needs can be carried out during a visit to Hollywell Court.

Q. Can I bring items of my own furniture?

You are welcome to bring small items of furniture. Obviously for Health and Safety reasons we need to assess the room from becoming cluttered and it is necessary for all items of furniture to be fire retardant.

Q. Can I come and go as I please at Hollywell.

Yes, of course, but for your own safety any risks to you must be assessed correctly.

Q. Will I be able to see my Care Plan and Medication Notes ?.

You can request to see your Care Plan at any time. Just ask us when you are visiting.

Q. Will the cost of Care rise in the future ?.

Yes, it is likely to. If it is a concern, please speak with a member of our Management team.

Q. How can I find out more about Hollywell Court and see a copy of the latest Inspection Report?.

You have two ways of finding out more about Hollywell Court.

You may call in at any time or you may choose to make an appointment to meet with The Homes Manager, and Staffing team.

Q.  How do I arrange to have a telephone in my room and how do I pay for this?

There is a telephone point in all the rooms and connection can be arranged with BT. Bills will then be sent either directly to you or to whoever looks after your financial affairs.

Q.  Can I have a newspaper delivered every day?

Yes, the local newsagent delivers every day to Hollywell and the bill can be sent either to you directly or to whoever looks after your financial affairs.

Q. How do I have my dry cleaning done?

We can arrange for this to be taken to the local dry cleaners and collected for you.

Q. I enjoy a glass of wine in the evening?

This is your home so of course you can still have your evening drink and we would be more than happy to order this for you, which will be charged separately. Wine and Sherry and Baileys is served daily before lunch.

Q. Can I enjoy a cigarette at Hollywell?

We are a no smoking home, but there is a designated area outside at the back of the home.

Q. How often will my laundry be collected?

Laundry is collected from the rooms daily and normally returned within 24 hours.

Q. Will I be registered with a Doctor?

If you are already registered locally this will remain the same. If you are from outside the area then we can register you with a GP of your choice or you may leave that with the staff involved with your care. The District Nursing Team visits and local Doctors provide a regular weekly surgery at there practice.

Q. When can I receive visitors?

There are no restrictions on visiting hours. Our visiting Hours are from 9am – 9pm
